The goal of a Post OP Lymphatic Drainage Massage is to re stimulate the lymphatic system and help relieve swelling that occurs when procedures such as a cosmetic surgery (bbl, lipo 360, tummy tuck etc.) or medical surgery disrupts your lymphatic system. ( For medical surgeries, you must first have approval from your Dr before booking any MLD appointments).
This modality is also great for Oncology Patients who have also endured a surgical procedure in removal of cancer cells/tumors as well as lymph nodes in the affected area and has received approval from their Oncologist for massages as on going treatment.
This Modality involves soft & gentle pumping manipulation to activate the lymph nodes as well as a medium /firm pressure of strokes to help move the fluids to the nearest lymph nodes for internal draining, for a faster and better recovery and to prevent Fibrosis as much as possible. UV Red Light Therapy is available for an additional fee for any post op client to help with relief due to continuation of feeling soreness and discomfort during recovery.
It is highly recommended that you have consistent massages
( 1 session every day for the first 2 weeks post op or depending on your Surgeons's post op instructions) follow by at least 1-2 times per week afterwards or depending on each case. Proper planning for massages will be discussed in order to receive the best post op results as possible.
It is also highly recommended that you must book your appointments well in advance as soon as you have locked in your surgery date.
It is important that the client must be extremely consistent with their compressions and follow their surgeon's post op instructions in between each sessions during recovery. Additional services may need to be incorporated for POST OP clients depending on each case.
If you are NOT a post op client, Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage is still beneficial to stimulate your lymph nodes for a cleansing or detox experience. The massage involves light - med/firm strokes to stimulate the lymphatic system to release to toxins, lactic acid and fecal matter that is withheld in your body. This modality will help in rejuvenating your energy, reduction of brain fog, improve your sinuses etc.
Sculpting treatments are available as an add on to your MLD Massage for an additional fee. (Please visit the Sculpting Services Page for more details.)
PLEASE NOTE: you must drink water 30 mins before each session as well as after to help your body flush out the lactic acid and excessive fluid.
